I just picked up a 1990 extended cab shortbed 4x4. I hope to build a clean little stock width truck on 35’s with some cool parts.

Share cool setups for these trucks. Not looking for a Trophy Trophy truck or crazy center mount truck. I am thinking Raptor mid travel ability at a fraction of the budget.

Nice choice. I have a 95 f150 same setup as you for the front and tire size. I went full kill and linked/canitlever the rear since I build stuff and had the shocks and parts already to do that.

The day after taking delivery the truck stopped running.

There was fuel spraying out from under the bed. So I had to pull the bed off. I started on the other side of the yard because I thought it would be a simple deal.

Found the problem, patched it up and moved it over to the shop side to get some real work done.

Now I can replace the fuel lines, drop fuel tanks and clean them out. Replace dual tank transfer switch and paint the frame up nice.

Sounds like you’re keeping the dual tank setup, how do you plan on working around them while building up the rear suspension? Asking cuz I don’t wanna ditch the dual tanks in my ‘93, call it nostalgia or whatever but I like them lol

I am considering doing a 32 Gallon Bronco rear tank and ditching the front tank. Then using that space to put a ARB dual compressor, 5 gallon tank and other stuff. I will use the front gas door as a place to hide the air hook up and stuff.

For the rear suspension, I plan to use some OEM Raptor springs and bypass rear shock under the bed.

copy I know just a shock doesn't see the extreme loads that a coilover linked setup sees I was thinking they were for the back of this when you do deavers
