i got my mountain 4x4 truck. i have my dunes desert rig. now i am thinking i need some street semi fast thingy!

the foundation will be my spare 3.0l duratec V6 and another 6hp26 fully semi automatic trans.
at first i was thinking RWD festiva but kinda wanted some curves.
found some old iron cars for kinda affordable on facebook
had chatbot dream up some image of how fun this can look.

chatbots a total beer buddy talking it all up. seems semi believable to me!

Here’s a breakdown of your Renault Dauphine build with your turbo Duratec V6 + 6HP26 trans setup, focusing on:
  • Component weights
  • Estimated total weight
  • Drag performance estimate

🧱 Component Weight Estimates

ComponentWeight (approx.)
Stock Renault Dauphine body~1,433 lbs
Remove stock drivetrain (engine + trans)–200 lbs
Duratec 3.0L V6 (iron block)~350 lbs
Turbo setup + plumbing~50 lbs
ZF 6HP26 6-speed auto~260 lbs
Driveshaft + diff + axles~120 lbs
Fuel cell + lines + pump~50 lbs
Cage + mounts + chassis work~150–200 lbs
Radiator + fans, cooling setup~40 lbs
Misc. wiring, ECU, battery~40–60 lbs

⚖️ Total Curb Weight Estimate

  • Original car: ~1,430 lbs
  • Modified (net): ~2,200–2,300 lbs
Depends on cage size and how stripped or finished it is

🏁 Modest Drag Performance Estimate

Assuming:
  • ~450 hp
  • Decent drag radials (e.g. 275/60R15)
  • Rear-wheel drive
  • Moderate launch control (no trans brake)
Performance SpecEstimate
1/4 mile ET10.2 – 10.7 sec
Trap speed132 – 138 mph
60-ft time~1.6 – 1.8 sec
With less aggressive boost (say ~350 hp), expect low-11s at ~125 mph.

📌 Summary

  • Power-to-weight: ~4.9–5.2 lb/hp = supercar fast
  • Body will need reinforcement and aero tuning for stability above 120
  • Could hit 9s with higher boost and weight reduction

That Audi is badass. I'd love to get one like that and swap in a turbo rwd drivetrain from something like an s2000 or bmw

What's that big window red thing behind this audi. Looks like a 55-59 Chevy cab from behind

Copy. I know nothing about pre 67 ford trucks. Not a fan of old ford trucks or cars really till you get 1941 or older.
