I did notice when at chocolate thunder if you have a trash bag people bring stuff to you to throw away BUT trash bags hung on poles were totally ignored and basically empty while my bag filled fairly quick because I was holding it and people felt better getting acknowledged and a thank you for throwing stuff away.

that's because people wanted to be seen by doing right. getting validated. the people that walk to a trash can to drop theirs in are the ones with trasharoos on the back of their rigs.
