grey ghost E350 diesel

I bought a DC To DC Charger for my RV.

Got a little confused when I first looked at it to try and figure out If I need to connect it before or after my inverter because I'm not sure if the alternator somehow goes through the inverter first before going to the house battery. Doesn't seem logical but the RV life and wiring eludes me.

i was cautions because of mixing the 2 types of battery's. but it was simple. basically the DC to DC charger is a "smart" interface between 2 different types of battery's and adding a solar charger as well. it just uses the program to decide how much and where from to charge the house batter. like a stop light and who gets the green light.
so the starter batter connects to the DC to DC. your house battery also connects to the DC to DC. then you run a load wire from your house battery to your house fuse to power everything including the inverter.

installed the lithium 100ah battery a few weeks ago. been working great.

also i picked up some "rare" rear windows that open up for more night time ventilation comfort. picked them up on offer up. came with all hardware and seals. tested with a garden hose and no leaks.

man lots of epic camp sites in this thread, sorry I missed it earlier Chris!

for trip planning, I had used iOverlander before on a big road trip. I found it helpful to find some of the more general-populous friendly camp sites. The public access vs private problem gets complicated when away from home and that app has a bunch of folks contributing to it. Just gotta deal with the stigma, haha

i have not used that one. i have used freecampsite and rvparky. but it seems like they are out dated. onxoffroad has been helpful for open land.
