Getting factory seats reupholstered?

Anyone know of a decent upholstery shop in the IE / high desert / etc are? Ive got a pair of 2nd gen 4runner seats that need to be reupholstered so I can put them in a little shitbox toyota p/u Im hoping to get back on the road. Ive called and messaged a few places and the prices are insane (IMO). Ive been quoted between $600 and $1300 PER SEAT. At that point this stock truck will have a set of PRPs in it.
 
I had a friend take my 1999 exploder fake leather type stock seats to mexico in 2022 to get re-upholstered and it was $60 each with GREAT results including the foam needed to level out factory sag etc. This is just my personal experience but I was very impressed. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out better than i could have wanted
 
So this was the TJ special and it turned out great!. Since then I obviously moved onward and upward but, at the time, for the price AND comfort it was well worth it. Drivers lower cushion and armrest Tijuana , All other pieces stock.

Thats a rad idea! I go through Mexicali a few times a yr, Im sure I could find a sketchy shop to do it down there (or steal my kidneys, 50/50 chance....)

@the bodj - I have like, 4 or 5 pairs of toyota seats in various condition, but the 4runner seats are the *chefs kiss* of ass cradles. I really want to keep/run those. Plus theyll bolt right in and I can use the 4runner center console too. Itll be the fanciest shitbox in my fleet!

All that said, anyone want to buy some toyota p/u seats?

Do you have any rear jump seats? I need a drivers side
 
I got quoted $1400 for two factory 3rd gen 4runner seats by one of the cool guy places some of the prerunner ig pages are repping out here in Temecula. I said to myself fuck that. For that price I can get some PRP Crawl Seats and corbeau sliders

Soooo I went to prp got some fabric samples and talked to my neighbor who has a few projects going the last few years that gets stuff done in Mexico. I’ll be giving him my seats and the fabric samples next week to take to TJ and have them redone.

Here are the before, hopefully van posts some after within a month.

Hell yeah, keep us posted on how it turns out. I said the same thing you did - itll have PRP daily drivers before I spend that much to re-do factory seats!
 
Have your GF message him for you princess. You need a book of faces just for marketplace
