Finally getting around to building my Bronco. Going way deeper than I ever planned. It all started in last century in 97 when I went for a ride in the old BFG support bronco built by Spirit racing. Told myself that one day I would own something like this.

Bought my Bronco in 2001. 351,e4od w/manual transfer case. Planned on doing a similar build and acquired parts over the years. Was hesitant to start the build as I have had incompleted projects in the past. I run out of time and money and didn’t want this truck go to crap.

Started back at the end of July and making decent progress.

Plans for the build are Richer racing/Cho cage
Richer shock towers and core support with CBR radiator. Running 14” 3.0 IBP kings in front and 3.5 king bypasses in the rear. Running Richer/Cho under spring kit, flight industry big brake kit on the front with willwoods. Rear end is a ruff stuff 60/9 rear end with Dana 60 hubs. 45gal fuel tank. 460 engine with e4od trans. Autofab +3 front end. Cho steering kit.

Decided it would be better to pull the body off the frame to do frame mods such as welding on shock towers, overlay plates, boxing the frame, notching the rear, installing solid body mounts, and beefing up the cross member.

Mocked up the rear suspension. Crazy to think all that happens in the rear is off two 2.5”x1/4” straps.
Had to cut back the axle brace for the bolts. Tried to do windows for the bolts to pass through but there was just not enough material left. Ended up cutting it back on each side and capping it.

Thanks for the follow. Ya not what I set out to do but as I tore into it it just made sense and would speed up some mods.

Let me know if and when to get started on a knuckle set for it. Making sets 100% conventionally at this time like the first 10 sets, till I can afford my own CNC mill, tired of outsourcing machine work. I got a deal I’m working on. Solid start on the build, like how you are covering all the frame holes and wrapping. I can knock out solid body mounts as needed as well but I think solo sells them off the shelf as well now. Either way I can make a set as needed. Keep the progress coming. Looking good

Robert,
Thanks, I have a set of your knuckles and brake kit from a few years back. Finally looking forward to using them. I will hit you up on some of the machine work that I am sure to need.

So I think it's to due with the image size. It looks like anything over 5.0 MB is not showing. I am looking into a Image Optimizer add on to the forum to help automatically reduce the file size. I need to do some more research. For those of you that care the issue is ...Our phones now take such quality photos now the file size is yuge. Which takes up too much space on the server...

Yeah when I ran into this issue on my new phone I learned doing a 1:1 photo was small enough for the posts, or I'd screenshot the photos since quality is much lower aka smaller file size

I used to have to use minima photo shrinker on other forums. Let me know if it was my pictures I’ll maxi, mod or mini them.
