Ran about 400 miles of mostly dirt last week. Trip was a blast. A little hot and DV was all the tourist that I thought it would, but still had a good time and saw some things.

First night we ended up at a campsite after not finding anyplace in Alabama Hills. Thought about going to Trina Pinnacles, but we had been on the road for 7 hours and wanted to make camp before dark.

Woke up early and took freeway to Trona, popped into DV on the Escape Trail, hot Baker Ranch and made our way to Warm Springs.

Next day we headed into DV, did tourist things and camped in Echo Canyon.

Hit Amargosa Dunes and got a room in Beatty to clean. GF ended up winning about a grand playing slots so it ended up being worth it.

Ended up following my buddy out to Big Pine the next because he had to bail out. Missed some dirty hippy springs and Eureka Dunes.
Decided to spend a night in Bishop and checked out some trails up the hill from there.

Good times were had. Planning on doing another trip that way come fall.

dude looks like a epic quest. It's wild how hot it is down there in DV and then you get to the mtns and there is still snow! We had the same thing last april on "the lonely pinos 250" trip.

You guys have any issues?

Thanks for sharing!

The weather was definitely drastically different with the elevation change. On our way out we pulled over outside of Big Pine and you see the clouds parting around DV.

No major issues. Buddy had a tire that took a decent sidewalls hit, but didn't lose air and I broke a bracket that was holding my rear interior rack. Just strapped it down with some spare ratchet straps and carried on.
Pretty sure the one guy that is still on stock suspension is looking at upgrading now. The washboard sections are no joke.
