BLGT peoples!

Most dream to have a truck capable of doing epic adventures in the great country of Baja Mexico. But what most can't seem to figure out is the logistics of planning a trip without getting lost, running into the dangers of the land, people they shouldn't cross, Weather/time of years to go etc.

So, Maybe a place where those with more knowledge can share trip maps, or groups that are going so they can tag along and join or safely plan a trip for their own group. Baja mini tour with Geoff at Giant is a blast, 4Lo trips seem pretty decent and fun.

As we know most of Baja is easy going. The people of Baja really do seem to enjoy the visitors of the US. its revenue for them and I think they truly do enjoy the trucks. So when down there, share the love with them and give them the service.

Key spots that I have been too and have enjoyed..

Scropion Bay Hotel
San Javier Mission
Guadalupe Canyon hot springs
San Felipe (pretty much anywhere is rad!)
San Ignacio and San Juanico

Valley Trinidad is always a fun run too. Some of he best tacos along thee way after running down the goat trail.

Playa De San Jacinto (Ship wreck beach) is a pretty rad spot to sit on the coast with a fire and some friends and watch desert cars come by and run up the beach and back off into the mountains south of Ensanada.

Theres the obvious spots like Ojos Negros, Zoo road, Mikes Sky Ranch, Chenworth.

I will start to share some maps I have and photos of trips.

haha, as a person that has been going to baja offroading and surfing for more then 45 years, i have to laugh at shipwrecks. there used to be no one living in the area and there was a real boat/ship in the water. we would camp, fish and surf there for days at a time. then later in life when i found offroad racing, a great remote pit stop along the coast. still a good point to stop at

Only been to Baja to "pit" the 1000 and the whole time I was there I was wishing I was in one of the many prerunner groups that drove passed us while we waited and waited and waited for a 40 second pit to happen. Didn't even get a free shirt out of it ** cough Lofton cough** . Anyways I'm still dreaming of the day I can take my Bronco down for something like the mini tour or what have you.

Even going down for the day to spectate a race is really fun. I went to my first score race in 2018 with some of my brother in laws family and have had a blast going to at least one race every year; most times more than one!

The 500 is best atmosphere out of all the races imo. San Felipe 250 is great because we beach camp, but you can camp for any of the races and they are all fun.

I went to my first race in my 2000 ranger before it got long travel and also after. I’ve taken my obs bronco both before and after 35’s and mid travel. I’ve also taken my 24 king ranch f250 to sf too (This was most comfortable drive to and from the races yet haha). The only reason I mention the vehicles I’ve driven is to “prove” that you can drive nice vehicles down south and not have to worry as much as people say. Granted, I am Mexican and speak Spanish so this is not my first time in Mexico but being mindful of where you are and going on a race weekends usually means you don’t have to worry about much.

It would be cool to get a group of people on this page who want to go watch a race together and head down south. A big Badlinesgoodtimes Baja 500 expedition where we start at contingency and head down to erendira to camp/spectate the race. That’s been my go-to spot the past few races because it’s so pretty and good for families in case you go with people that have kids.
