B-Fab 3 week Ranger build

Nothing to much lately happening just been enjoying this truck!

I just added the SAVAGE UTV mini mount and Starlink to the truck. With all of our trips at some point we wished we had service. Got their “anti theft” hardware kit which just ended up being Allen wrench button heads lol 😂…. I decided to choose the solid mount for the fact of theft and just really no need to remove the unit from the truck. they had a suction cup option and a mag mount setup but just didn't see the need for it... at the end of the day if someone wants they'll get it.. i mounted it using 1/4" nut certs into the cab with stainless hardware and rubber washers under the "legs" to seal it.

Its still "removable" so if we wanted we can still take it out of the mount and use it still as well.

The Mini was on sale for $299 instead of $499 and the Mount was $323 solid mounted and 12’ cigarette lighter power cord. Waiting on some bulkheads to run the Starlink power cord through the roof so it’s all sealed.

Also mounted my antenna to the bed cage to ditch the big mag mount and wiring off the roof.

Been a while but have been updating the truck more and more, hands down has been the best truck I’ve had with it’s simplicity and usage.

Added some bump stops and new coilovers upfront, also added a GIANT housing I got in on trade from a customer. Cut all the existing stuff to a bare housing. Cut the ends off and shortened it to match my front kit and some Dutchman axles. Rem polished 5.00 gear with strange N case and cooler pump with locker kit.

Got tired of the whining ranger pump and after 2 of them in less than a year I decided to upgrade.

Got with Joey Miller and got the conversion brackets to modify the factory pump bracket. For $60 bucks comes Lazer cut, anodized and all hardware.

Power steering pump is from a 2003-2006 Jeep Liberty. All you have to do is take the port from your factory pump and replace it with the Jeep one (different thread pitch).

Then if you have a 5 or 6 groove pulley you’ll need the new one for the Jeep pump.

POWER STEERING PUMP # 96-64610 and PULLEY #PU100-352 (my trucks a 97 and uses a 6 groove).

Soooooo much quieter!!!

I saw your Insta post for Bryan Blagg’s new axle and I am curious what to do on my trussed axle that has holes in the truss for u bolts like the one you made for him. Do you do anything about water and junk that can get caught in it or not a big deal? If I move back to the rust belt states I grew up in I’m wondering what could be done where it could corrode the axle tube. I haven’t seen a good solution for that other than the obvious choice of just drilling drainage holes.

Hey dude! Honestly without doing an extreme amount of work, I drill a 3/8” hole on the bottom of the truss.

I have made filler plates and the time it takes it isn’t worth it. Esthetics wise yes but it’s more work than what it’s worth because my truss’s when I order 4-8 sets at a time I have to individually fit them for each customers builds and that sucks lol

Also decided I was tired of looking at the white fenders… I love the OG look but I wanted a single color truck.

Had a case of fresh STEEL-IT Charcoal grey.

Did a quick prep job and masked the truck and started spraying. Surprisingly with a very heavy cover thinking this thing forsure was gonna be more runnier and bumpier than REMI (DR days for this who know)…iykyk..😅

I really wanted the factory Willow Green color but the problem was I actually use this thing and I’m not some IG or Tik Tok show truck like all the cool kids are building nowadays.

So figured give this a shot since it’s pretty durable

Loaded up Friday morning after thrashing on Nicks OBS after we just did a cage.

Had a super rad time out in Johnson Valley! Truck ran great with some minimal problems.

Sheered all the rotor bolts on the Wilwood kit on my LR. Took some bolts from the RR and carried on.

This trucks been so much fun and such a blast. Have really been dreading the inevitable with the cage but going to go ahead and just order up a TE cage kit. We thrashed in the trucks all weekend long in 2-3 foot deep whoops for MILES in JV and having my son in the truck it was all I could think about was if we got upside down… The trucks been pretty fast right out of the box and kept up with linked trucks all day long, but it kinda scared me at the same time…maybe that’s just not being the 20 year old me and the new 35 year old me bringing out some wisdom.

One thing I was avoiding and I don’t know why..maybe just laziness or something but it was a pretty simple deal to do and took 45 min to do the entire thing was C notch the truck.

Drew up some notches in the computer and cut them out and traced them into the frame and cut them out and did the thing.

Gonna order some hydro bumps for it.

I’m also looking to upgrade the shocks, rear I think I’m gonna go to a 3.0x16 tbs and front a 2.5 IBP and do 3.5” springs on it.

My Affirm account about to hate me lolIMG_5066.webpGot a ACES Racing junior seat for my not so jr kid... He's at the age where growing, his stuff is only good for about 6 months and we have to replace everything. Seat fit his upper body section but legs are long but it does fill a void in the seat where he can see and not have to sit on a pillow in the truck. IMG_5068.webpAdded some BEARD seats to the truck as well. They were brand new and never used.. my old stock seats were hammered. Not a fan of them and will be changing them but better than I had and all still on sliders. IMG_4560.webp
