97 Hot Roll Ranger

Yeah but your diff only hangs that low at one point.
True. This is temporary until the leaves are removed.
^^ yea, that would be a no go out here in the dez... Shit, im like praying I miss the diff itself a lot when straddling rocks.

Tagged one real good recently too. Thought for sure I was gonna see something fucked up. (come to think of it.. never did find what part actually hit. LOL
Update the thread and lets see some carnage.

Could you run a tube from side to side that fits all the way to the outside shackle bolt tab. then you can cap it and have it go up to be a doubler weld washer so the bolt has more meat and wouldn't oval out.

That was my first thought, for strength and simplicity, but i would have had to put some bends in it to clear my spares tires.

I would do that to make the shackle hangers as strong as possible. OR you can run what you have and if they bend, straighten them and then add the tube. I personally would run a tube around the inside bolt hole on that shackle that runs to inside of the frame then box that into the frame so the hanger fully goes on the side and bottom of the frame

i like the tube under the shackle hanger with a cap as a weld washer. Hopefully links will happen before thats needed though.

More re-doing of old bad designs, with less bad designs. I needed to change my bumpstop pads in the back because they were small and the strikers were getting destroyed. I am also bumping it one inch higher, I had a little shock travel left for droop in the last setup. Also got lucky with where I put the bedside tubes, gets a little close.

1/4” flat bar
Trail Gear u bolt plates
Fancy 1/2-20 12 point nuts for the U bolts

Yeh, I think axle wrap is the biggest issue. Now the contact area is a little bigger, I gained about 1" of uptravel, and the shock will be way easier to install without trying to compress it. So more updates to follow in prep for a trip to Little Sahara Sand Dunes.
