4 link question

I’ve heard you want your upper links 75% of the length of your lower ones, example does that mean links off the truck laying on the floor for that measurement, or the measurement from the link mounts on axle side to frame side mounts? My upper axle link mounts are pushed further back than the lower mounts on the axle.

Thanks Dylan

That’s a very rough rule. I’ve worked on trucks with nearly equal length uppers and lowers and crazy amount of length difference. Both CAN work.
I’m going to say though that rule is more true when measure lateral distance on the chassis to axle mounts. Not the upper link itself.

Okay awesome thanks for the feedback

Honestly there's so much that affects how a 4 link behaves. Go under your truck and measure all of your possible link mount positions (frame side upper and lower, axle side upper and lower). Then get on the 4 link calculator and start plugging in random values and see what each change affects until you understand it. Start researching antisquat, roll center....
