Typical pre trip crunch in full effect... went on a trip last weekend to run Boulder City to Laughlin and back through the dirt. Made it about 6 miles before both lower balljoints ejected the tapered sleeve out of the knuckles. Was lucky enough to get in touch with a local Terra Crew dude (can't remember his name, but has a BAD ASS crew cab square body chevy center mount rig...) who let us use his welder to try and get through the weekend on a quick fix, but it didn't hold either. Pair that with filling the crank case full of diesel due to a bad injector O-ring and we had a rootin tootin good time wrenching on trucks on the Casino parking lot.... have a pair of 3rd gen knuckles on their way to me to adapt to my 01, and some new balljoint pins. Slap new o rings on the injectors, new knuckles, and full bolt check and prep and we should be good to go. Of course I'll wait another 2 weeks to start the repairs, just so I get the full rush crunch.

Reaching #5 and 6 valve cover bolts from the ground is impossible, and im quick to scream at anyone who climbs on the fiberglass.

King of the FUN!
I look at this like a festival not an offroad trip. Always something epic going on out in the middle of no where. Always meet new people that typically become friends, fun to join in on the clean ups in the morning, fun to watch armatures wreck their stuff, fun to help them get off the trail, fun to meet up at another camp for a party because almost everyone I know will be there at some point... the list goes on and on for me.

It's absolutely a festival, that's a good way to look at it. Bringing my wife this year for the first time in 4 years (stupid kids). She's PUMPED to get back out there. Elliot, another RV, Miller latte fueled podcast?!

Festival is a great way of putting it. Hoping to sneak away from team duties again and hang out some more. But all depends how the week goes.
We’ll be rocking the can at camp again. It made it out to a few trips since last year and is always a good talking point. Barring the rain and flooding of pits from last year we’ll be back in the main pit area.
