1977 supercab Cummins tow rig

My boy and I got the head back on last night. Then put the pushrods in torqued all 26 bolts in 5 steps up to 140 ft lbs. advanced the timing on the pump 1 tooth for better mpgs and more power. Plan to lash the valves tonight. FBE9F8CC-4498-4C46-9C67-AC645E002C2B.jpeg8F27B087-DFFC-4497-8ABC-ACE34654C8F8.jpeg

Well it’s back up and running. Going to put some miles on it and hopefully drive it up north next weekend

Well she didn’t make the trip up north the injector pump started leaking so I pulled it to reseal in and ended up replacing the entire thing. I need to start tuning the pump but will probably just drive it for a while and enjoy it before it goes up for the winter. I did install rails so I can build another 5th wheel camper/toy hauler plan to have a 34’ long trailer and add a truck bed camper on it. I need to fit my quad and bronco on it. The wife can tow my small trailer with the sxs and kids dirt bikes.

Well this followed me home 9-29-22! It was built by Bob Waddill to pull his MGA salt flat race car. He holds the class C/BMS, record at 243.970 mph. I bought the trailer from his grandson who still has the MGA it’s 38’ long the Cummins pulled it with out a problem. Can’t wait to clean it up and make my bronco fit on it. Plan to cut the back half off and close it in to make the back open for my bronco

dude that trailer looks legit!

How is it inside? Looks like she has probably seen a lot of miles under her belt.

The inside needs some love but not bad. I wish my bronco would fit with out chopping back walls and roof obit it should work out good.

Had this thing doing some work lately. Dragging my grandpas tractor around and finally brought my bronco home.

Jelly of that tractor... I'm in the market for one but they are so expensive these days. Hard pill to swallow for something I don't "NEED"

it’s my grandpa’s tractor it he bought such a big one so I can use it. He was going to rent one to clear his property but said you need to clear yours to so I will just buy one. We use it to put in deer plots also.

Going to be tucking this guy away for the winter. Hopefully I will have some upgrades for it come spring time
What are your plans? Underglow? Air bags? haha just kidding. Love this truck dude. I may end up buying a flatbed for my 03 F350 at some point.

Probably add bags to the back for the new trailer lol but planning on sending the pump out for a rebuild new injectors new ss lines and will possibly be turning it in to a dully. Lol

I finally got around to installing some parts on this thing. New injection pump “50 hp” injectors all new fuel lines and a new 4 core aluminum radiator. Still have more to add but she’s running better just needs a little tuning on it yet.

Did a few more things on this today, finished up the alternator bracket, installed a new alternator, installed dual battery’s need to order some new ends so I can shorten some battery cables and clean the engine bay up some more. I also made a bracket to install my willwood slave cylinder to the trans. Tomorrow’s plan is to bleed the clutch.

Did a few cosmetic/comfort things this weekend. I have been watching for a set of west coast mirrors and a set popped up Saturday morning 5 min from me so I tan and picked those up. I also finally installed a radio and the carpet I have been waiting to install. Getting closer to being a finished truck
