Hey!
I am starting another project, I know, I've been struggling to work on my other project but hey here I am!

Anyway this time I have help from my friend, who is an excellent fabricator and our goal is to build a non-competive race legal class 8 truck that doubles as a fun prerunner and street legal in CA.

Well anyway this is day one.
We got hooked up with a truck that once had a camper on it but got stolen by some tweekers some time around 2000 or something. Anyway it was recovered but the camper was trashed so it was removed.

Apparently they stole the mirrors, radio and sunvisors.

Afterwards the owner parked it in the garage and it has been sitting for about 20 years... until today when we pulled it out and brought it to lake E to get beamed, linked and caged!

So I'll be posting update here to my favorite fourm!

Here are the pictures, wish us luck :

I hope you find 3 more Super Swampers
Haha well I got the truck from an awesome old lady and her late husband had about 6 tires and wheels that I took to get rid of for her that one included plus the old bed frames that where keeping the truck from floating away. Basically filled the bed of the diesel with a dump run.

Small progress bits,

Tested out the wheels, going with some stylish beadgrips from method. Guess we won't be cool. Oh well. 20251207_111938.webp

Removed the beams, My Friend preped the radius arms mounts and tacked them for now. He said he may make an account here.

Those wheels will look nice 🤘🏼
Also what’s up with all the white dots in the cab? Is that for the scan process or did I rub my eyes to hard waking up?
Thanks I actually really like the wheels, especially with the 8 lug. The dots help align multiple scans together and maintain scale and orientation, at least as far as I understand... Im not actually proficient with the use of the scanner. I am being helped.

badass. that steering wheel is a solid come-up! assuming it's original ford that thing is worth big $
Unfortunately some tweaker has the OG wheel from when the truck was stolen. But maybe this is a ford replacement idk 🤷‍♂️

So since DIY-Offroad seemed to design the beam kit with the idea that the beam ends are boxed out instead of an I beam shape. My build master went ahead and started getting the beam ends in order so the the diy kit will fit up properly.

DiY off road beam cad, you can see its a solid box not an I beam shape.
