Hows it goin? My names Logan Witcher, im 16 years old and have a 2005 Ford Ranger FX4 with the 4.0. Lately i decided to post my build progress on here just to inspire someone else to do similar to mine. I currently am building my own longtravel kit. Gonna 5” wider per side, and strapped at 16” with usable 4wd. I currently just finished my steering and making sure my bump steer is good. Everything checked out so i now am getting ready to start lazercutting my metal, and welding it sll together and then putting it on the truck. I hope you guys follow along with the build🤟🏻🤟🏻

He was just messin with ya for that last picture.

What spindle you building around? Any lift? You guys drawing this stuff in cad? Or hand cutting templates? What do you plan on doing for outer joints at the spindle?

What are you doing for steering?
We called BTF to ask for their opinion on it and called dirtking, they both said our stock spindle is pretty strong and unless we plan on jumping it really high we will be fine. We originally did everything and got all our measurements on a website called racing aspirations. We mimicked where we wanted our pivot points and went from there. We mocked everything up using a parts truck my friend has. Cut the arms and welded pipe into them. We are using 1” and 1.5” heims all around

I know the pics are just for mock-up purposes. But I don't know if running a hemi for the upper/lower spindle in that orientation is going to work, the steering forces is always trying to loosen it
