“The Stocker” phaze 2

3-4 years ago Dustyn Loppnow put “The Stocker” together for me on a trade for some Solid Shocks. He did did all my Giant parts with my Solid 3.0” IBP coil overs and 4.0” single tube by-pass. We beat on the truck pretty hard until the body started cracking all over the place with the fenders and hood falling off. Ethan and I welded up Andrew, WIY cage in the back and I did the front “A” pillar. I’ll post more as I go.

Got the dash mounted and new streeting column down to the box.

The truck has been sitting with no usage and it was at Mark April's house getting some love.
We have decided to upgrade the suspension and make all the safety requirements to race it in MORE 2000 class.

33 inch tires and Barstow don’t get along too well so I’m gonna cut and turn the front for more right height so I’m not dragging so bad.

Building a pair of 4.0 x 18 shocks for the rear and got the 2.5 Harbor freight jack that’ll fit the solo mount.

Got the rear 4.0" back from the Zink Plater, man they look good! Started building up a 9" with a Giant Skid Plate and bonus guard.

Is that 18" shock going to allow for a good amount of additional suspension travel in the rear?
More up travel?

I got the Saginaw pump mount off of Van and got the beams powder coated and hung.

I got the shocks finished, mounted and sitting on its own weight. I’m working on a new floating leafspring perch. Here are the features I am aiming to achieve: U-bolt eliminator, takes different loads off the springs, adjustable pinion angle, eliminates axle rap.

Floating springs is a cool idea! Should definitely offer more articulation. Curious to see how the narrow spread of the tabs on the axle survives, but I’m here for it!

I was out of town for a week, but I did get some of the parts welded up before I left.
