Thanks! Next on the list is to install the add-a-leafs into these Icon springs. Damn near riding on the bumps, and with 80psi in the bumps it makes the ride pretty shitty. I put them down to 25psi for now. Kind of regret going with drop shackles now lol.
Took the truck out with the fam up to Big Meadows (above Hume Lake) for its first shake down run with the new to us RTT. It was a blast! A lot different than trailer camping. Wes and I slept great. Wife, not so much lol. So I’ll have to figure out some type of topper for her to be a little more...
With that said, i think it would be cool to stage a camp site with the HOWL pit in the center where your booth will be, depending on where they make you set up? If im worthy of joining, i'll take that friday off and grab a room down there for the weekend.
Yeah dude, i randomly found those at Ace Hardware. Like 6 bucks a piece lol. They slid into the rails groove perfectly to mount the rails to the brackets, then i used 3/8" bolts to mount the brackets to the tent. The heads of the bolts slid perfectly inside the groove of the tent then i just hit...
Nothing super exciting but I finally bolted the RTT rack down through the top of the bedsides using A&A manufacturing hardware. I kept the original hardware on there as well but they are more like pinch plates that I didn’t really trust running by themselves. I also added the Swagman bicycle...
This sounds cool. What's the fee?
I ask because there's a few Raptor groups who plan these types of trips and the prices to join are typiclly out of control. I wont mention names, but there is one run in particular where they want $300 to go drive around in Pismo with a bunch of Raptors for a...
When i bought the Icon leafs they came with their "HD" over load leaf that i never installed. It may be something ill add soon, since i pull the trravel trailer so often. next trip is in a few weeks so i need to figure it out.
On our way there (with the wind) we averaged 13.1 MPG. On our way home (against the wind, and it was strong) we averaged 12.6 MPG. So i'd consider that a win. Body roll is more noticeable but overall truck still drives close to the same.
