    Spring Rate Help With Math!

So if you run the same weight on both springs, you should run equal length springs? Or can you run the same weight but one shorter and one taller?

    Spring Rate Help With Math!

Another question as well. I’ve seen my friends SxS that was professionally tuned by a local shop. He’s running a dual rate setup but the same weight springs on top and bottom. That makes no sense to me? Why would you do that? Is that legit or did the shop just throw whatever they had laying...

    Death Valley area questions

Very cool... Looks like a blast. If you guys want to squeeze out a few more dirt miles and end at the Alabama Hills area, take this pole line route South of Manzanar. It's fun, winedy and fast. Has a couple of water crossings and you end at Alabama Hills, which is a cool area to camp or check out.

    Death Valley area questions

Should be do-able although, having a sturdier tires might be a limiting factor. Running E-rated tires would be a minimum requirement for my group. The rocks in DV are razor sharp and can slash a sidewall fairly easily.

    Death Valley area questions

As someone that goes to DV once a year for the past 8 years, I would say, stick to your original route but be ready to have back up routes. Most of the closures they put in place are more so for tourists driving around in rented minivans or priuses. With all the rains the last couple of years...

    Local Legend SY4

Question: Why not build the B-pillar cage on the outside of the cab? Wouldn't that give you a little more space inside? Is it more a looks thing or is there a performance advantage to have it inside? I'm wondering because I'm leaning towards eventually building my C-pillar cage on the outside of...

    T-Juan - `98 Toyota T100 4x4, 5-spd

It bugs that I don't have cruise control. So I saw someone else make a steering column plate that added their CC lever onto it. So I stole their idea and made my own.

Been working on the rear diff. Put in a lunchbox locker, replaced all the races and bearings. Check the backlash and the pattern. I'm going to take it in to my buddy who works on cars and have him give it a once over before I put it back in. The pattern isn't the greatest so I'm going to see...
