So 3 times now I’ve needed to get a tire off the ground mid trail and had to use several high lift jacks to make it happen. Have yet to find a decent way to carry a floor jack, so I’m trying this AGM scissor jack out. Lifts one tire with ease and is super light.
I was messing with it yesterday. If the truck had been recently running for more than say 5 minutes, turning it off for a bit and restarting it would not kill the switch panel accessories. I will say, I believe I only tried it with LED lights running, likely wouldn't work if I had the electric...
This thing really impressed me this weekend. I always tow it up to the local trails since the main grade is so long/steep and I just assumed this thing would drive terrible and overheat or something. But roads were super icy and they had CHP checking for chains so I decided to just try and drive...
Switched from a 6 button thingy to an 8 button thingy, also put a switch in the dash to give the panel power so I don’t have to have the ignition on to use it. Much better.
Also, am I trippin or does KMC really not offer these in a 17” Superduty pattern? Now idk what wheel to get.
I did a terrible job of taking pics/vids, but we did a ton of wheeling in the Ranger at KOH. Ran chocolate thunder, Turkey Claw and Spooners last weekend. Truck did amazing and the only issue was de beading a tire since I run fugazi locks still. I did lay the truck over against a rock and crush...
No real updates on this thing, just been putting a bunch of street miles on it for funzies. Since I don’t have any major things to do to it before it goes to KOH, I’ve been just doing a bunch of little things. Added LED head lights and more rock lights in the front fenders and on the knuckles...
First time seeing sunlight since May. Got it cleaned up and turned around. I’m gonna take it to the shop in a few weeks and start doing some actual work to it again. I got a few things to fix, may pull the motor for a refresh, also need to get a hold of us some KMCs for it.
Experimenting with more traction in the front. So far there’s never been an obstacle I couldn’t make it over including Soup Bowl and Chocolate Thunder, but occasionally the truetrac in the front would slip a little too much at an inconvenient time. Eaton sponsored me this Detroit to try upfront...
