    Bronco Spare Tire Mount

If any of you 92-96 bronco guys are moving away from the factory spare tire mount and want to sell me just the top body bracket, I’d thank you kindly.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Well I called to inquire on a matching rear axle for this SuperDuty front 60. Yard had one with 125k miles and factory E Locker for $250. It’s on the way now too. So plans have evolved a bit. Desolate Solid Axle Kit w/ 3.0 IBP kings will now work the front end in place. Talking with Blake...

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Well yesterday was a hilariously crazy day. I called one of the local yards on Monday looking for a super duty axle for one of my clients. They gave me a price and told me it would take a couple days to arrive and to call them back if I wanted it. Talked to my client and he decided to go...

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Yeah it’s definitely a consideration for sure. $1000 bones in shipping ain’t nothing to snuff at.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Yeah absolutely. I’ve priced up a cage through him, but man oh man does shipping kick ya right in the dick. Seeing you put his cage in is what made me contact him about getting one.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

While I like to think I am a bit on the more crafty side, I don’t know enough about doing them and would prefer to get a done set of beams to start with.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Well Desolate has their own beams, but they’re just C&T, Extended, and then plated and braced. Not Cho fab beams. Desolate also doesn’t do a SUA setup, which is odd since they do the rest. Just basically weighing my options on fully fabbed beams vs the modified stockers.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Anybody know how the quality is on the Desolate Beams? They have a whole 4.5 over kit that may make my life a bit easier, but not sure if anyone has any experience with their beam setups

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Well looked at the steering this morning to make a bit of a plan. I don’t know if the couple I purchased the Bronco off of took off a lift kit, or the previous owner before them did some goofy shit, BUT holy Jesus this steering is a bit fucking wild. Ignore the oil leaks, I’ll get this...

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Most likely my next plan of action things will be weatherstripping on the doors, tailgate, and top along with a full rebuild on the tailgate. Then it’s pure go fast stuff.

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Was able to get the passenger rear axle out and inspected. As we thought, the shaft was shot and the bearing was toast too. Also looks like a bit of wear on the housing, so we put the repair bearing in it to make up for any slack along with the new Yukon axle. Fresh fluid and spicer gasket as...

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

Thanks! Indiana for me. Planning to move to the AZ/NV/CA area, but not sure how quickly that’ll happen. Means Silver Lake up in Michigan will be home to this truck for awhile. Yes planning on doing glass front and rear. Was looking at McQueen, but saw a few people here have issues with the QC...

Midwest Twist on a Potentially Go Fast Bronco?

So we got home with the truck this past Saturday and Monday I set it up to get some tires. Just a temporary thing while I get parts stacked for this for the build. Noticed while driving it, the truck has a decent growl that my friend and I believe is coming from a rear axle bearing. So I...

    Hoopdee 94.0 Bronco

Love the look of that, but one question and excuse my ignorance. Could you have moved the bottom him up to come out of the body like the top one for a bit more ground clearance, or not that much of a concern being there are more likely things to get tagged before a swing out?
