Where’s all the moto dudes at?

For my short timid wife I bought a blown up big wheel 85 and put an XR100 motor in it. It is slow enough to not scare her, climbs any hill we make her, and soaks up all the whoops and washouts she can't avoid. It's the first bike I grab when running around camp and really fills a huge gap in the market.

I think I'm going to go this route for Chelsea. She's learned the controls on her xr70, but the small tires and lack of suspension are miserable in sandy trails. I think I'll probably do a ttr125 motor as they have electric start and I can find them cheaper than xr100s hah

Ive been riding since I was a wee boy... Traded my old Beta for an Africa Twin that I use for daily driving duties.

A T7 that I picked up thinking I would do WAAAAY more adv-style riding than I have.

A 650R thats so neglected that I feel like a shitty dad.

And I did a cross country trip on a WR250 a few yrs ago that was a blast! (and then sold the bike)

This TTR125 is for sale, has at least new forks on it, maybe a rear shock

That's more than I want to spend in total. This one I could probably get for $1000 and then a few hundred for a rolling chassis from an 85...

Got an old yz450f in a trade last year and thought I'd start riding with my son... looped it out the last trip and now I'm scared of it 😂

My son raced flat track at Ventura race way a few months back. We picked the wrong class because he was racing a bunch of kids on yz85s on his ttr 125. He had fun though and wants to try again next year. He hopped his bike up with a 150 kit, cam, ignition module , airbox mods and a bigger nibbi carb. Bike rips now. Way faster than it has any business being. He's stoked!

I used to race D37 And USDR series back in my 20s , now I have a few different careers to try to make money ( and a prerunner iv been building for a friend in my garage )
career-s , house and daughter so finding the time to go ride is a challenge . I rarely go to tracks , open desert whoops or single track is my sport .

I'm 55, Love my 19 350exc, Buddy and I ride every other Sunday weather permitting. I'm in NJ, So lots of small trails, Nothing spectacular to see around us, But we make the best of what we got.

👋 Also a moto dude over here. Cheapest hobby I have…well until I bought a brand new bike 😅 Oh well. Last bike I’ll buy for quite awhile. I’m in South Dakota if anyone is ever up here. Tons of legit riding.

Big time trail cutter upper guy.

@Stevesie I concur on the cheapest “motorized” hobby.. I second guess finishing my truck every other week. Yet, I’m still collecting parts for it 🤦🏼‍♂️
