What are you listening to these days?

Rise against is one of those bands that never pops in my mind for some reason.... but also one of those bands that i love every time a song comes on... their new album is awesome too.

Totally agreed. It'll pop on a random spotify playlist and then I'll binge listen to them for a week, then nothing for a few months lol

I like to listen to a little of just about everything, my pandora playlists skip around just like my adhd hah. But I’ve always tended to gravitate towards sad old cowboy music or angry metal-esque type stuff. Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr, David Allan Coe, Dwight Yoakam, etc. and on the opposite end of the spectrum Alpha Wolf, Thrown, Spiritbox, Falling in Reverse, and the like. I’ll binge random stuff in other genres I find on shuffle then jump to something else two weeks later and do the same, play a couple of the same songs on repeat for days on end then kinda like what bodj said, never listen to them again. Can’t believe years ago I wasted hundreds (hopefully only hundreds, idk I’m bad at math) on songs on itunes just to never use it again

This is one of great albums to come from the early 90s Seattle grunge era.

Unfortunately Mia the lead singer met a early demise. The case was solved years later with DNA.

Her case was even featured one of the best television shows ever... Unsolved Mysteries.

i started in hardcore punk about 25 years ago... hence my old screen name hxckidd.

in highschool it was strung out, afi, millencolin, bad religion, lagwagon, blink, mxpx

by the end of the 90s into early 2000s it was lots of melodic hardcore death by stereo, strife, poison the well, one king down, refused, boy sets fire, ignite, thrice (fun fact, i went to junior high and highschool withe a few of the members, and was good friends with them)

Then kinda transitioned into rockbilly for a while, 3 bad jacks, tiger army, horrorpops for a few years.

Now my newest music genre i listen to is this new country (never thought i would listen to it)
but wiskey meyer, ryan bingham, colter wall, koe wetzel

Now i have a list of liked songs that seem to mimic GG rap, to classic rock, or britney spears, to country, to metal.

Only thing i wont listen to is the new mumble rap bullshit. and 90s country.
Strife was a local Thousand Oaks band growing up. I think most of the members worked at the Oaks Mall. I used to by my Doc Martins from one of them at JMR Chalk Garden. :ROFLMAO:

Strung Out was less direct local growing up but when I got into punk and started hanging out with all the punk guys they became local as that crowd was more Simi Valley people. Simi was a punk rock hot bed in the mid 90s.

My current new like is Ren because it is so different. especially if yo youtube it. A few of his videos are one take and sung while filming.

Other one I can get down with is Run the Jewels. Other than that I mostly still listen to punk, alt, rap grudge from the late 80s through early 2000s. With some classic rock thrown in for good measure.

I like listening to Killer Mike from Run The Jewels talk, dude is crazy smart and I feel like I learn things listening to him.

His show on Netflix was a good watch, also he was pretty funny in The Lowdown.

I've been listening to the Descendants lately. I never gave them much attention when I listened to punk avidly, but my brother invited me to a Descendants concert so I had to do some listening homework. I like both their old and new stuff. But what I really like is listening to music on youtube music because you have access to the whole album and can play it through start to finish, the way it should be.

I forgot how damn good these guys were...

Bonus points if you know who is talking in the intro 🤣

Cool Story Bro Time.

Saw Millencolin back in like 1998 with some friends and thier GFs... my one friends gf has a pretty big rack for being in highschool.. anyways at the show some dude ran from across the room and fell into her tits with his hands with a big smile on his face. Looked at me laughing then ran off. We were both in shock... Still makes me laugh thinking about the story.
