Not sure this is where I should post this, but I figured tire psi will affect shock tuning. What’s everyone run for pressure? Seems like back in the day everyone would say air down. Now it seems not so much to tune the shocks for smaller stuff. When I took my truck out for the first time I was running 18psi. Then I hit a rock and got a sidewall puncture. My tire guy said I should’ve been more around 25, 22 at the very least. So what’s everyone opinion and what do you run?

Depends a lot on tire, wheel, vehicle and terrain combination.

My yota on the good year race tires I could easily run 18 with 0 issue. Very tough sidewall. New kanatis I’m running 22-23.

With that all in mind I have bent 3 wheels, high pressure probably would have helped in that department.

It affects chassis feel but not shocks if you tune the shocks right, in my experience I can tune a car at 22 and tell a customer to run it at that and then they will just drive around at 36 and never air down even offroad
