Alright , this post is long overdue , and with enough flack from Elliot im finally here to give a write up about my 2011 Single Cab short bed f250 power stroke .
The truck was originally a completely stock regular cab long bed , that I found at a fair enough price to justify cutting it up lol . The truck was a pretty heavily used farm truck from centrical California , with 250k one the odometer but the bones were gooo enough to keep it a Running project . tempImageiqzcGj.jpg

After about of year of recouping funds and collecting some Power parts we decided to cut it into a short bed , we also added a 70mm not vgt ballbearing turbo and a stroker CP4 injection pump . Any time I say "WE" im mainly talking about Mikey and Jesse at the Fab Lab. They did 99 percent of the leg work and research in this and did an incredible job to say the least .tempImagesgcT2i.jpgTo Get the factory f250 short bed to fit properly Mikey had to cut 16" out of the factory frame right behind there cab . This process was pretty straight forward , just glue the frame back together , make a new front fuel tank mount and add a shorter driveline .tempImagecMVv0S.jpg
surprisingly it took a good while to find a clean super duty shorted but one finally popped up about 2 hours away and I snagged it .tempImage4gKaCQ.jpgtempImage7zHPnF.jpg
at the same time Mikey was cutting the frame , Jesse was installing the new SPE 70mm turbo and larger injection pump . this combo is good for about 700-750whp but its currently on a very mild tune , the power threshold of a factory early 6.7 powerstroke us around 700whp or the rods will likely turn to spaghetti with too much boost pressure , so were going to keep the truck at the 600whp mark until I have there opportunity to build a stronger rotating assembly . I also took the time to Powdercoat the turbo and all of the charge pipes satin black to help maintain the factory look .tempImage66aCQV.jpg
As Fast and fun as this stage of the project was I just wasn't content with it only being a street truck , I knew it had a bunch off Offroad potential if built correctly , I really wanted a "do it all" off road truck and as great as the bronco was it also had its short comings and I ultimately decided to sell it to further build the f250 .

The offered build of the truck happened in multiple stages over the next 6 months . it started in fall of 2023 but it we knew we wanted a functioning truck come KOH 2024 . Mikey did tons of research on what direction we wanted to go . Go fast dessert , rock crawling , cross country adventures ,i wasn't going to be happy unless the truck could do it all and still have comfortable street mannerisms ..

we landed on a custom length 3.0 coil over in the front with a repositioned Carli tower to fit the longer than standard Carli coil over set up . With this front configuration were able to cleanly cycle 14" of travel which we were more than satisfied with being a solid axle truck .tempImagezWs5AN.jpg

The rear was definitely more involved , originally we were going to keep it simple with a Deaver set up but do to lead times we were "forced" to link it to meet our KOH deadline ( at least thats what we told the wife ><) ...
Im going to break this part down pretty quickly ..
After Mikey did all his math on anti dive , anti squat , spring rate , ehicle weight , blah blah blah we finally started cutting into the rear again .
I believe we landed on a 48" rough stuff trailing arm link with triangulated upper links , with slightly less than a 2:1 shock ratio (I might be wrong so Mikey can correct me ) , a 550lb single rate spring for the time being and ADS 3.0 MBR internal bi pass coil over . to get the upper wings to work we had to replace and relocate the factory fuel tank . luckily we were able to make an after market cab and chassis f450 40 gallon fuel tank work . was pretty much plug and play with the fuel sending unit. Mikey decided to do plate style upper shock mounts which turned to be super clean and beef .tempImageA0qonL.jpgtempImage4dPLZL.jpgtempImageSE6dKX.jpgtempImagesWaswi.jpgtempImageiEhsTE.jpg
with the rear set up complete it was time too check the travel numbers and we were stoked . Initially the truck cycled 25" in the rear but after getting the new driveline installed and seeing there aggressive u joint angle we decided to strap it at a safe 21" of travel , still plenty of travel for this big pig..

the next stages were building a fabricated bed platform , pullout drawer for camping and tool storage , obviously it needed 40"s and some indestructible bumpers from Todd at mercenary Offroad ..

Although this is the current stage of the truck its definitely not its final stage , with the ever growing weight the truck we are constantly making adjustments to counter . But yet another stage of parts is being collected and hopefully she'll have a more refined set up in the next coming months. tempImageYlyFPZ.jpg

pointless to build a fullsize single cab truck that only weighs 69 lbs

pointless to shorten the bed because now you will HAVE TO hookup a trailer to be able to haul your mother around.

pointless because i hate you.

stupid because i said so.
