Programming radios?

i know my kenwood which was a police or fire radio came with a disk and connectors to program. Assuming he got something similar? its not hard once you know what you are doing... or so i am told from @JosB
Mine just came preprogrammed to whatever list was popular on race desert back in the day. It’s still sitting on my shelf. I never installed it but from the freq list I was looking at they pirated all kinds of channels. Home Depot, Lowe’s drivers ect. I was told just use a channel that no one is using. I was like ok. Then I remembered reading who’s liscense number certain races were under and what channels were going to be used. I was like cool my radio has that channel. But again I’ve sold 10 projects since then but I got a preprogrammed Motorola that huge sitting on my shelf if anyone wants it. Me and the kiddo use rugged hand held on the dirt scooters with intercom system in helmet. This is absolutely not my area of expertise. I fox robotics, weld and machine. That’s my lane.

I wish there was an edit icon to these posts. Seriously. I hate autospell but love me some boobies.

The brain in photo. The dash piece is small channel selector. I have not use for it but it has all wiring and I got a cut to length antenna for desired freq range. I’m assuming that like 1/4 wave vs 1/2 wave ect as far as accepted freq’s. But it never been cut. Make offer if it’s worth anything at all. It’s ancient technology as far as I’m concerned.
