I didnt see a thread, so hopefully this isnt post number 10 about the two jacks...

looking to tell my wife i want / need a new jack for home and for mounting to the vehicle for Christmas. Which jack is preferred? I understand Pro Eagle is pretty off road friendly but their price is up there, We have all used harbor freight jacks for the last 20 years so wondering if the badlands jack is actually worth it as well.

Are there any Youtube comparisons or anyone done a write up i can read?

Also, if Pro Eagle is the recommendation, where should she go to get it? Direct or a retail shop?

I've had my badlands jack for a couple months now, it works as intended and I haven't had any trouble with it, its introduction was also the thing that prompted pro eagle to get their jack to pass ASME-PASE requirements since the Badlands had it when it came out so that may be worth something there. Overall from what I've seen is the construction of the jack chassis is pretty similar but I haven't gotten into the hydraulics on either one so I cant speak there, another thing is U.S.A. made (proeagle) vs China (Badlands).

I have zero complaints with the Badlands jack. Have had it for about a year now. My kid bought it for the garage so he can lift his lifted Chevy Duramax as my very old 2 ton jack wouldn't lift it. Once they come out with the 1.5. he plans on putting one in his Ranger.

My nephew in law uses two of them in the desert pitting for his SpeedUTV. And if you know SpeedUTV's. Yeah its on the jack a lot. 🤣
But they get thrown around pretty good when loading and unloading for the races. The Plastic wheels are still hanging in there. Still rolls good with all the dirt on the wheels now.

I've used both and perfer the Badlands jack. I have one that lives in my backyard and is only used in the dirt for over a year and it's been working awesome.

I also make a mount for that jack.

Im not here to badmouth anyone. To be honest i bought it a few years ago and it was only a year or two after they started business. I am sure the quality has improved just sharing my experience haha

I've had the Bad Lands jack for 2 years or so. It's bad ass. The extension so nice so you don't have to get sketchy with wood blocks. I will say its pretty massive for a on the truck jack. That 1.5 ton should be perfect for truck jack.

I have the badlands one and it’s nice but honestly I always find myself going back to my 20 year old 3 ton otc jack. The harbor freight one is kinda a pain with the back wheels not turning. Now the one I do want to hear some reviews on is the one orielly has with the tank tracks for wheels. I kinda just want to buy it just to have it.

I have a pro eagle I won at ride and seek last year and I don't have any complaints. It is heavy but it works great in my gravel side yard and lifts my 40' gooseneck with ease.

Both made in China

Love my Badlands jack. I bought the 911 motorsports mount that bolts to my bed floor. Hundrads of dirt miles and the jack hasnt moved. Ive used the jack a handful of times with no issues.

I’ve had the badlands jack about two years and it’s been solid for my raptor. Mounts are easy to get but still pricey if you’re planning on mounting it into your rig.

I have not owned a pro eagle and I always hear people ranting snd raving about them but when it comes down to it for half the cost (even less with coupon or sales) you can’t beat the badlands in terms of value.

Everyone I know who is loyal to pro eagle is a racer and has not purchased the numerous jacks they have or they are “old school” and like the “American” story of pro eagle. But harbor freight is just as American as pro eagle. Both companies are family owned and operated out of Southern California. Both companies design products in the USA and have them made in china. One company can sell their product for $300 and make profit, the other has to sell theirs for $600 to keep the doors open.
