New years weekend we went out to our ranch, Saturday New years Eve we decided to do a run out to some new spots we have never been too ( thanks to google earth lol). First stop was a old spot, the train car at Camp Rock Mine. Then we took off through the mountains and the coolest wash run ever. This brought us over to pipeline rd, which had some big rollers that were super fun. We then went up on to a plateau which then had a trail that took us to the Newberry Falls. Which was super cool, created with volcanic rock. From there we shot 30 miles down pipeline road behing the orb mountains, which was a blast. We then took a wash over through the orb mountains which brought us to the fish pond. From there we blasted back to camp after some beverages.

That trips looks epic man!

I can't believe I haven't seen any of those things in my travels in Lucerne or near it... Time to get back out there!

I’d love to! We could do hammers to new berry falls to barstow and back. Would be a good 120ish miles. Nice all day adventure with some mines and cools views on the way
Throw up a plan and estimated date range in the trip planning thread?

I'm always down if I'm not busy on that specific weekend. I actually watched a pretty cool 'overland' video last night and there was a bunch of stuff in the area I'd never heard of or seen before. I even found out that they just moved the Mojave bus vs destroying it which I thought was cool.

Video is ehh because overlanders, but I liked all of the history part of it.

Hey you went too. Pretty sure we passed each other going through the hills on pipeline road.

We must’ve passed each other. We were there right before dark and camp Kyles crew kept going to the 40 to go to a café and we wanted to check out the canyon. We broke the steering on the way back and had to drill out a piece of tubing and makeshift a splint to get back to camp.

Oh shoot. Looks like a fun trail fix haha. I pulled off and let some broncos and the red Giant f-250 go by (secretly because i overheated😝) if you were with them. I was with a RZR and Ford ranger going back towards Lucerne when i saw the group. We were supposed to run with Kyles group but we decided we could get it done faster in a small group lol.

I ran down a wash back there once that was pretty epic, had no clue the waterfall was there though. I'll have to go exploring. There is a few old silver mines over by the powerline and 40 that are pretty cool to check out too

i spent all day looking for that train car once..... i was convinced it was gone.

When you’re going out camp rock and you pass Anderson you will come to a Y in the road and you go right and there’s a big painted white rock on the left that you turn it and there’s a mind to the right of the train car as well.
