Ive got a 2004 tahoe z71 with the 8.6 rear axle
I recently got the whole unit replace as i bent the whole axle and blew the factory G80..
Earlier today i took the truck with the new assembly and realized the shop actually put an yukon open diff which annoyed me..
Ive already solved it with them to replace it but im wondering if i should upgrade from the G80 to another locker at around the same price range..
The current tahoe setup is 6 inch lift on 35 mud tires.
