Hi all, thought you might like to see my Defender Overlander.
This is Margo. She's a 2001 Td5 Defender 110 Country Station Wagon. I got her October 2020, with just shy of 100k miles on the clock. Since then I've put another 10k throgh the engine, spent over double the price getting her kitted out, and probably just under doubled the price if I were to sell her. She's also spent 9 months in the garage. Pretty standard for a Defender really.
Just after I got her. Exterior upgrades include:
Brownchurch roof rack with 270 Tuff-Trek Awning, spare wheel, waffle boards, and storage
ORE bash plate
Front and rear diff, and transmission guards
BFGoodrich KO2's 235/85/16 on WOLF rims
9,000lb Warn Winch
Spot and flood light bars
LED headlights
Heavy duty prop shafts
Anti sway bars
Heavy duty steering rods
Water tank
2inch lift with Terrafirma shocks
LOF PowerSpec clutch
Heavy duty trailing arms.
Spare wheel carrier
Interior upgrades:
Camper set up, with small double bed, fridge, multiple storage areas, and cooker set up
Diesel heater
Duel battery set up
Anderson connection for auxiliary equipment
Mazda RX8 heated seats
Interior lighting
Dog
I've traveled all over the UK so far; I just got back from a week doing the Northumberland 250 which was brilliant. I also do a fair bit of greenlaning and offroading, so she gets her fair share of mud!
The next big plan is to take the truck to Mallorca for the winter, driving down through Portugal and Spain.
