Mojave Trail January Run

I plan on running Mojave trail with my dad and a few other trucks late January. We plan on camping mid way on the trail to be able to explore and see cool stuff along the way.

Any cool things to look for besides the usual lava caves, mail box, rock house and penny tree?

Air down, waaaaaay down.... The wash board is literally the entire surface of the trail anymore. Its rough right now.
