So the BLM is being sued by multiple environmental groups like the Sierra Club. A Obama appointed judge in NorCal just ordered all BLM lands closed to off road use in the Mojave desert of Kommifornia. There's a big meeting Wednesday February 18th at Jawbone station. I'll post a link for it later in this thread. This happened about 15 years ago and was short lived. They claim the BLM isn't managing the public land how they feel it should be. Meaning the environmentalist want to be the only ones who can access it. This is going to affect lots of small mom and pop businesses and communities like mine (California City) we have to band together and make a show if force. Some OHV friendly politicians are getting involved. In my opinion the miles upon square Mike's are doing more harm to our desert than OHV users
Here is the link for the meeting February 18th

Is it the only the jawbone/ Randsburg area? Or are they going after all other areas as well? ( barstow, Lucerne, glamis ocotillo, etc)
They're going to try and shut down all of the California Mojave desert. Down to palm springs. Can't shut down California City because it's owned by California City from the 14 to the 395 and from the 58 to the south side of the Rand mountain range 389 sq miles. That why the city charges $15 per OHV per year.

But yes they want shut cuddy, glam is, octillo, johnson etc etc. All of the BLM land in the Mojave desert in Kommifornia

I read the case and the action items are;

"Accordingly, the Court grants the following injunctive relief for the duration of the remandproceedings:

1. BLM is ordered to close all OHV routes in desert tortoise and LMMV designated critical habitat and clearly mark such routes as closed with appropriate signage and fencing as needed. BLM shall keep open designated county roads and highways, as well as any and all routes needed to provide access for established easements, administrative access, emergency access, and other permitted uses (but not public OHV recreational use).

2. BLM is ordered to develop and implement within the WEMO planning area a monitoring program to determine compliance with the route closures, as well as prevention of impacts from new illegal routes. The monitoring program shall be seasonally appropriate and fully implemented no later than June 1, 2026. Defendants shall submit the monitoring program results as part of thesemi-annual reports required above.

3. BLM is prohibited from approving any new OHV routes outside of the official routedesignation process.

4. BLM shall comply with the deadlines for completing various actions on remand set forthabove"

FYI, LMMV is the Lane Mountain Milkvetch which is an endangered plant only found in a small area of Fort Irwin and is heavily monitored by the Army, not sure why it's included in this case so heavily.

The case doesn't reference any mapping that shows what the 'crucial habitats' are and I cannot find anything to show that besides the map 4xOffroad posted above. Weird wording there that seems like an exploitable loophole that will prob drop this into further courtoom delays etc.
