Memorial Day 2025....What's Happening (Waas Sappening)?

I don't know you....you don't know me......but is anyone planning any localish (SoCal) Memorial Day Weekend trips? If nothing pops up I am planning on trying to snag a yellow post site in the SBNF on Thursday and having my wife meet me on Friday.

This year will be the first time in many years that we wont be doing any trips during Memorial day. Its already hot as shit in the Central Valley around that time so we usually do a Pismo trip. This year we are heading to San Diego in June for a week instead. With that said, every time i hear "san diego" i think of this clip

Pulling the trailer down to the Chula Vista KOA. Doing Sea world, City Cruise, a bus tour, and a couple other things that the wife has planned.

That KOA is fantastic! A nice pool, a little snack shack/bar, nice grounds, and lots of random kids' activities. I enjoyed my stay there.

Well that's good to hear because the week cost me a small fortune. I'm almost positive we paid less vacationing in Hawaii for a week a couple of years ago. We bought the San Diego "city pass" which gives you a bunch of options on activities you can do. With that and the stay at the KOA, I'm already broke.. Should be a good time though.

Yeah, that's one of the pricier KOAs (I joined their membership club for 30 or 40 bucks and save 10% on all reservations) ...Cheaper than Newport Dunes though lol
