I kind of need the B pillar in place to setup a system for mounting my seats.

Run a tube at the floor from A - C pillars, floor tubes connecting those floor tubes, and mount seat tabs off it. Then land B pillar on the A-C floor tubes, and stub a short tube through the floor to the frame

I took the advise and ran the lower from C to A pillars. Came up short on one side. I don’t think I have it in me to sleeve it. I’ll probably just rebuild the whole tube.

I’d sleeve it. It’ll otherwise be difficult to get it installed without a large gap at one of the notches.

Remade said fucked off tube and proceeded to cut more giant holes in the floor for seat crossover tubes.

Should have been working on seat mounts, but got bored and made the rear door bars instead.

but in the spirit of olden days DR internet fab..... you should have made that back floor cross member/seat tube land on the bottom of b-pillars...and then also tied that same junction back to frame.

Like it is now is a "dead tube" and everyone is going to die. LOL

I know.

It would have been directly over the body mount bolts making them inaccessible. Could I have bent the ends and done some wild fucked off notches, sure.

You MUST hand make your angle by cutting strips off of a sheet and using a break to get the angle or else nuns will die.

Fuckers more crooked than the pictures make it look. I didn’t want to go full containment, but if I’m buying another set I might as well do it.

Doing what I can when I can. @Dsrtrcr01 was kind enough to pick up the new to me seats and hold them till I made it down into the area.


Proceeded to work on my dash and windshield tubes. Stock air cleaner should fit inside the cab nicely between the 2 front seats and under the center console.
