Howdy,

Located in Forest Falls, Ca ‘near’ Big Bear, used to be a Tacoma guy, but got a ‘04 LJ a few years back when a friend offered it for sale. Too much sentimentality reminding me of my Dads old Scrambler to say no.

Nothing crazy in the build, rolling on 35’s, axles and t case swapped in from a Rubicon and still tinkering my way through the suspension while I fix the PO’s almost good choices along the way.

Have done a small amount of trails in it, but it mostly sees daily driver and desert exploring duties.

My friend has an 06 LJ manual trans thats only got a 3-4” lift and 35’s and he’s done a bunch of what look like solid trails up in big bear in it. LJ seems like a good mix of old and modern platform / drivetrain options with the wheelbase and coil suspension with the 4.0 and manual trans.

I've done Gold Mountain without much drama, hoping to get up there again this summer and try a few more out before it starts snowing. Or get's closed from more fires at this rate.
