Hey there, new here. From Southern Idaho near Boise. Have 2 trucks, 2003 Dakota on tons and 40's for my Crawler. V8, 5 speed, Dual cases and detroit lockers.

Also have a 93 explorer. It has an old school auto fab 16" kit. Bed cage, Deavers, bilstein 2.5s in the rear, and 1st gen 2.5 sway aways in the front. 4x4 on 33s. Warmed up 4.0.. simple truck that just works.

Welcome! Rad Dodge! Let's get out on the trail this summer I'll be up there over the 4th. There is a few other dudes on here from Boise Area.

I dig the Dakota, what are the strengths and weaknesses of that platform? I don't know anything about them but I like the in-between size, seems big enough to hold a family but small enough to navigate trails.

Strengths are V8, manual or auto.. wide frame, driver drop transfer case (SD axles fit perfect) and a comfy full crew cab..
Weaknesses are there is absolutely nothing offered for them, you build everything. And I have a 140" wheelbase. Overall I'm happy. Especially the price Point when buying it.
