Any Hockey Fans? Anyone play or watch?

Started playing Ice Hockey back when I was 7 or so... played into High School (Midget A). Took about 10 years off can back playing Beer League on a few teams. Still play pick game every other month or so but am on the Ice a few times a week Coaching my little dudes 10U team.

2025 Playoffs just under way... Who is your team ? Go Kings Go

Been playing with a bunch buddies over last 5 years at a tournament in Phx over Memorial Day.

This was photo of me leveling a Canadian gentleman that ran into our goalie 3 different plays. ( this is a non checking league) 😅 To be fair I informed him prior to this play that he should keep his head up because I'm going to be coming.

i thought elliot was a lover not a fighter... lol I wanna see photo now.

I played roller from age 10-25ish. Started my highschool team, Played adult league at the age of 14 with my dad( those adults hated kids skating around them). i miss playing but its hard to find time for that now and pretty sure i would die.

I didnt know you played that long. Dude, you should start skating again! To bad I'm so far from you we could start a bad lines/cleandezert beer league team. hhaha

Even though it doesnt look like it. i played a ton of sports as a kid. Hockey was the only one i really truely enjoyed 100% of the time. The late games at 11pm killed me the next day for work though, so i gave it up.... that and the 7 stitches in my face from someone swinging a stick like a base ball bat across my face. lol I would be so down to try and play again.
 
We are a LA Kings family. GKG!

My kids play, 2 boys and 1 girl that all started around 1st grade - Roller Hockey, they still play as 18,19,22 year old young adults. Local Beer league Rec, US Jr. Olympics and Travel Club AAA and even Men's Plat Pro. LOL, NARCH Regional is in Irvine CA this weekend, guess where we will be.

Ice Hockey my boys started in HS and played HS D1 Varsity and CAHA AAA Club, they have made States, Districts and even made a few trips to Nationals with their teams, the 22 yr old finished USHPL Jr. Men's and is now scouting which college at ACHA D1 level he wants to play, get his degree from. The younger one (18) is just entering Jr. Men's and is trying to make Canadian Jr. A or US Tier 2 level teams....we will see, NCAA level College might be in his sights.....we will see.

Hockey over the last 8 years took us out of the desert, Glamis etc. but it was so worth it, now its time to get back in.

dude that is awesome! Sounds like you got some talent on your hands. Where you located guys located.
We play out in Simi valley, CA

Kings are rolling right now, hopefully we can take the moment back to Edmonton.
 
We've played many times at the Ice-o-plex, mmm beer on tap.

We are are in Claremont (San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona area)

Boys play will everywhere or anywhere for a good game. Ontario, Pasadena, Anaheim, Irvine, etc.

Such a small world haha. We just got the Junior team Ventura Vikings at the rink so that's been fun to watch last season.

I grew up playing at all those rinks as well. Started in Simi, then went to Golden Bears ( Burbank ) then Played for JR Ice Dogs in Lakewood which now is KHS.

For now my son is just doing 10U In-house. Thankfully we aren't driving all over the world just yet but that's coming soon. For sure is going to dip in to the desert trips, but it is what it is.
 
I played roller through highschool. Been a kings fan my whole life I’ve been to probably hundreds of games even living in San Diego. Was at game 6 of the Stanley cup finals in 2012 when they won.

Hoping they keep it truckin against the oilers tonight!

ehhh,. it's all tied up... gotta win 2 games.

the 3rd period and OT were both pretty ugly... Pretty wild all Byfield need to do chip it out and the game was just about over i think they scored with 40 seconds left .
 
Not sure wtf happened to the Kings but Oilers are dominating.

I was watching the TNT broadcast after the game they were talking about 4th line only playing like 5 or 8 mins all game? They are also just rolling 4 D the bottom 2 D only played like 3 mins in the prior game. I couldnt even imagine suiting up and playing 3 mins all game. Fack. I guess the pay is the same but shit would be tough to stay focused. Top 2 lines getting all the ice time, in turn by the end of the game they are outta gas.
Hopefully we can force a game 7 Thursday night.

Oh then there's the Leafs! do they flop again? They were up 3-0 Now it's 3-2
 
4th line looked great tonight. Too late for that tho. Frustrating loss, tired of playing the oilers every first round lol I miss the old playoff format
