I know this is a little out of the ordinary. Feel free to move if needed, but if you know me well enough you know this truck has been a part of my life for over 20 years. It’s been sitting for a while and I’m looking to make it my daily driver again. I have the opportunity to sell my current wheels/tires for a lot of $$ (welds are worth gold right now) enough to buy a new set of modern wheels/tires, something more road friendly. Current tires are 33x15.50s and are 14 years old lol. So either way they gotta go. I’m looking for something a little more desert inspired, but a lot of these new wheel manufacturers are shining away from 15 inch wheels. This truck is 5x5.5 like the older Fords. I’m leaning towards either a 33 or 35 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tire but can’t seem to find a wheel. I’d like a 15x10 if possible. Maybe a 17x9 with a bunch of negative offset? Keep it old school with a AR-23 or a US Mag? What do you guys think?

I have a set of 4 pro comp 8 hole rims (almost identical to these) in my garage still in boxes. $300 and they are yours

Man, i had those on my old blue Power Wagon and i just didn't care for them too much. I'm really leaning towards a 15x10 AR-23 with a -44 offset. Kind of my dream wheel but was never able to make it happen.

Did Alcoa ever make wheels for Dodge? I aways like them on old Ford's.

Google knows all, this is what I was thinking:

The 5x5.5 bolt pattern Alcoa's would fit (i think), like what guys run on Broncos and f150s. Pic you posted is 8 lug but looks great for that application. The Alcoa's come with a positive offset and a really short back spacing. I'd like the wheel to stick out just a little more than the Alcoas.

Mickey Thompson just released some new wheels that have an old school feel. I'd go 17/35 on that truck just to modernize the look a bit. If you do black faux beadlock rings on a polished wheel it will make the wheel look like a 15 if you're worried about the bling

This is exactly why i wanted to make this thread lol. Totally over looked MT for wheels. Im very interested in the MT CANYON wheel now. I was up all night lol, actually decided to go with a BFG KM3 in a 33 or a KO2 in a 35.

Well the final verdict is in. 15x10 Mickey Thompson Canyons on 35x12.50 BFG KO3s. Wheels just showed up this morning. Tires will be here Monday. Once they are mounted and on the truck I’ll take some pics. This wheel looks so much better in person than it does on the website. Went with a 35 because I think a 33x12.50 would have looked too small, and the weight difference was less than 5 pounds per tire.

I'm a little late. But I was going to play odd guy out.
And say keep it as is with the Welds.
Truck has a killer old school vibe in the pics. I dig it as is.

Well, one of the big problems is finding a tire that properly fits 15x12 wheels to acheive the look of what i have now. The only ones making 15.50 wide tires is Interco and not only are they ugly AF they are super loud and dont last long. I will miss the welds for sure, but i think this new wheel/tire package is going to help me love driving the truck again.
