Hello there

Evan built the truck. Many moons ago a handful of us ran the mojave rd and Evan brought the tundra. It was still leaf sprung at the time and that thing was W-I-D-E. It worked pretty good back then and Im sure it only got better with time/tuning. Love the D50 TTB and an atlas twin stick. That trucks a badass do-it-all!

ya it did pretty good first time out. rear was great. front needed a little valving work. thinking about swaping out to an ibp. then the passenger side front diff output shaft ear broke in 2 seconds of tossing it in 4wd hoping it was just a fluke

Revalve the shocks you have properly and you won't need to go to an IBP.

Photos of where the front diff broke? You say the diff output side ear broke but do you mean the yoke or the actual cast diff housing broke?

when i hear yoke i typicall think as that as input side. the ear for the u joint on the inside passenger side. still new to ttb but it looked like it was a pretty common problem and no better optiond then upgrading to rcv qu40571u__53445_9329__94782~2.jpg

Yeah replace with stock. The D50 uses a 1350 u-joint so you can update to a solid non-greasable joint if you need it stronger. They usually don't break unless something is binding up. Which then you need to lock hubs droop out and cycle everything while turning the axles to make sure nothing binds up for ya.

ya it broke within 2 feet of engaging 4wd for the first time and a super light application of throttle so im really hoping it was just some neglect

Yes I would bet money it was ready to fail before even had any power applied. Open diff is easy on that stuff since if in a bind it puts power to least resistance/traction wheel which would be the side not bound up.

I've been waiting to see this truck pop up. We've done a ton of trips together and it's a blast everywhere and such a unique build. He did break a front shaft on the Rubicon once too, I think it was a right front at the knuckle but don't remember if it was inner or outer.
