DMC Death Valley Loop Nov 2014

Another one for the books....

750 miles total about 250ish of dirt. Exploring Death Valley.

Minimal issues,just a few lost bolts, over heating, getting stuck, Exhaust hanger deletes

I cruised this warlock.

Other than it being a complete turd in the open desert. Pretty impressed with minimal issues(lost a bottom nut on hood pin) all 750 miles.

packed up the Kitchen and hit the pike. Stop one the box car cabin. Place was cool. Its always rad to see a place thats taken care of and not all shot up and mangled

The views were okay I guess.....

Dropped in to the Valley... this part of the trail was my favorite.. the trail was super smooth. Rolling hills after the climb that we made up to 7500 ft in the trees , it was cold small patches of snow everywhere. Clean Crisp air. Epic.

Dropped in to the valley. Being in the rover threw that bitch in 4low, second gear and let her roll.

Once on the valley floor everyone pulled away from me quite a bit which was actually awesome. No Dust!
Got a call over the radio that Josh was having issues with his Exhaust on the jeep... small hose clamp and we were back in business.

after the race track we pressed on.
I was bringing up the rear hear a call on the radio that they had come across a dude with a F150 solo that had his hood popped. he had lost a little plastic elbow from the intake and also lost his oil cap on the motor!

I figured wtf was i going to do. I'll press on. This ended up being probably the roughest part of trail . It was awesome. Roverspeed came alive was karate chopping the whoops had a few oh shit corners. Good times. Kayla and i ended up finding both lost items.. called it in over the radio. Dude was probably pretty stoked.
I let everyone know I was pulled off to the side to take a photo of them coming down the hill.

Now the everyone had passed by they asked if I wanted them to wait i said no you guys go ahead....

I told Kayla that the back ground over here was pretty rad we should take a photo for a christmas card... she said okay! I lined up the shot and went in for the kill.

Hung out and kinda soaked in the moment with KW. We both looked up the direction we had come from and saw the dust of a large group coming our way she says "we need to GTFO" haha

I apologize to the group over the radio. As they are sitting in the parking lot of that epic crater. "sorry guys we are lagging a little bit, just getting in engaged." there was a long pause. " Wait! what! Did we just hear right !"

Pretty cool everyone was cheering when we pulled up... haha

Desert Romance? I already asked if we could have the wedding in the desert.... lol


Anyway after the crater. We pushed on.. with about 60 miles to the hot springs and the sun on its way down! we had our work cut out for us!

Seriously the coolest sunsets I have ever seen.

Bronco did a Radius arm bolt delete. Seriously the best part about offroading is the team work to get someone going again.

We got to another 4x4 section tommy got hung up in 2wd spend probably 30 mins getting him unstuck made it to the hot springs pretty late.

Cooked up a feast for dinner.
Brats, steak, bacon wrapped jalapenos , burgers, zucchini

Everyone Dnfed pretty early it was a 12 hr day on the trail

Woke up to the campground dude telling us that we were parked "illegally" lol and we could be ticketed if a ranger happened to stop by. said something about using a rake to erase our tracks. We were all like Wutt... there was no signs or anything saying we couldn't be there. Respectfully we loaded up our shit and moved closer to the hot spring tubs... fired up the grill for more. you guessed it...

This was an awesome little Oasis. Keep in mind this is 45 miles via dirt to the closest paved road. No cell service. you are in the middle of no where!

There was some naked folks. Saw some naked dudes cruising the premises and also saw some naked females just cruisen. No big deal really. They had 2 different tubs that were emptied and cleaned daily. water was probably 90+ felt pretty amazing after all those chattered roads. I will be back for sure.

We've all been here. Axle housing just chilling in the desert.

Honey badger took one off the paw she got bit by a red ant. lol was chewing/ licking her foot for about an hr of the ride home.
