Hello everyone! I forgot I had made this account and never posted an intro. At some point I got asked to make a build thread on my 80 series landcruiser. I’ll maybe work on that, but for now, hello!
I’m Billy, I’m from Bakersfield, but I’ve lived in a few different states. I’ve owned a few different rigs and wheeled a couple of times.
I’ve got a severe case of vehicular ADHD, yotatism, whatever to want to call it
I get some wild ideas and can’t shake them until I give it a shot. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
My main hobby is collecting shitboxes and trying to build them into wheelers.
My current inventory:
Current wheeler

1994 80 series landcruiser
40’s
5.29’s
air lockers f/r
slinky springs
some other BS
Lots of dents
Current project:

1981 Toyota pickup
4.3L vortec swap
Dual cases
5.29’s
All pro leafs all around.
The back of the cab is hacked out like a red neck Trekker.
I’m swapping in an 80 series axle and a full float 8” from a duallie. Spring sliders and trenching the hangers to lose some height it was sky high when I got it on 35’s. 37’s or 40’s is the final plan.
Back up project:

1987 Xtra cab
SAS
35’s
Picked this up from a coworker fo an absolute steal.
Not sure on gears definitely has an auto locker of some sort in the rear. It needs some gram reinforcement plates and a steering box brace and better shocks and a better looking winch bumper.
Some kind of kid/comp buggy

(I promise it’s cooler than it looks in this shitty picture it’s just not in a great position for photographs in my junkyard)
I traded an 83 pickup that I paid $1800 for this B20 powered transaxle buggy. It’s got a spidertrax 60/9” front axle and 9” rear. Needs some assembly, plumbing, seats, and major loving. I’ll probably jump on that after the 81 is wheelable.
Latest project:
1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler

OM617 swapped
Frame is shit
Axles are 2.73 ratio
It’s damn near undriveable.
Plan is to frame swap its and stretch the wheelbase to about the same overhang as a CJ/TJ and make a 3 row family wheeler (I have 4 kids)
I also have an FToy chassis and a 1965 K15
The shitbox BMW, a couple of cords Harleys and a model A.
I probably need to get off Facebook marketplace.
My Instagram is where I usually post shit and wheeling stuff it’s @billy_nuckles
I’ll try to keep up with the forum stuff. But no promises.
