Okay I guess I’ll try this out
I’m building a beamed/linked 1974 Chevy luv
I bought the truck in 2019 as a roller and let it sit in my yard for almost 4 years.
Picture of when I first got it.
Originally I planned on keeping some of the stock frame and building off that, but I ended up just building some 2”x3” .188 wall frame rails for it
Temporarily holding them level and square with some 1.5” square tube
Gutting the cab
Mocking the cab up on the frame, don’t have many pictures of assembling any of my suspension parts but the beams and uprights are diy offroad and I designed my own radius arms and trailing arms
Got tired of the rusty square tube so I built a front crossmember, no idea if it’s going to work but we’ll see
Picked up some 37” tires
And got some raceline wheels
Shoutout to Chance Sabala on the wheels
Trying to keep this thing on a budget, picked up a 2008 Cadillac Escalade as a donor truck, going to be using the motor, trans and rear end out of it for now. Bought the Escalade for $3,000 and I sold $2,710 of stuff off of it. Still have more to go so I should make a small profit and still get a 6.2, 6l80 and a 10bolt for free, pretty stoked on that.
Well that’s about it for now, if anyone is interested I will update again in a week or so
