question about lower link length. I see a lot of kits like ruffstuff use a 48" heim to heim and then theres 55" and 60". for my extended cab truck I was under the assumption a 55" link is where I should be. Thoughts?
I already have a set of 3.0X18 bypasses for the rear is also part of my consideration. My thinking was it would be easier to just get a coilover vs selling me bypass shocks and buying an ibp coilover for the setup
Got an f150, got a Blitzkreig long travel kit, no clue on what to do with the rear setup. Have two trucks in our group currently running a short course setup with king 3.0 ibp coilovers. They seem to work very good. Looking for opinions on a setup for the rear. My concern is a short course setup...
there are new bypass mount tabs welded onto the axle lower. The +3 rod ends for links made it so that we moved the mount lower. And yes it has longer brake lines from I believe crown automotive
With too much time to think and with some newer friends who had trucks that were quicker than mine out in the dunes, I decided I wanted to go with longer bypass shocks through the bed for more rear suspension travel, so I schemed for a couple months and in December right before I pulled the...
So mid 2020 we are at here and I am enjoying the truck at the dunes on trips but I find myself just wanting more and more performance out of the truck.
Couple pictures from trips in June / July
At this point I wanted the rear width of the truck to match the front, so I ordered ADV raptor...
Honestly thats probably the route im going to go. The decision came down to fully back halfing the truck or doing something like keeping the frame and bed and doing a notch with a fuel cell for now is what I was thinking anout
we now flash forward to march of 2020.
I started to look into doing a lift in the rear and getting more performance out of the truck but did not like the idea of rear lift blocks. So I got these. Icon RTX leaf springs. I liked these over deaver springs at the time because it came with an...
while this is true those shocks were ultimately a waste of money with the direction I took the truck in which ill post about later today.
My wife and I are usually up there a hand full of weekends out of the year. We will be back up there at the end of July!
When I was planning out what kit to buy for my truck, I had mentioned to Dave that I saw some people online talking about cutting the stock coil buckets off to install a 10" coilover in the front for some more travel with the mid travel kit. He was of the mindset that while you could do this...
Figured I would start a post around my truck. This is what started as a 2013 f150 I bought with the intention of towing around my foxbody project car. Well as all things in life my priorities changed and now this truck is my toy to go play in the sand.
Some old pictures first.
