I just applied some downward pressure using axle straps. I welded it in sections and then fully heated it after welding and wrapped in a blanket to cool slowly.
I have had this tent for 2 years. It has never made it on to a vehicle. Itโs basically new, with the exception of bumps and scratches from moving it around. One of the latches is bad, the ladder got tossed.

I installed the Ruffstuff truss on the rear axle today. I used my heater on full to get the housing up to 400 ish degrees before welding it up. After I welded it up I put more heat to it and then wrapped it in a blanket. Should be good.
