I’ve had ok luck with the BMS style lock nut (if that’s the style you mean) but I have seen them fuck up the snout threads when the tab broke off the washer and spun it anyway.
Driveplates shouldn’t be siliconed. Oring for easy convenient prep.
Or just sell the whole axle and put a 35spline semi floater in. Only prep mine every 4-5yrs 😂
If that’s the case, assemble as is, beat on the snout with a sledge hammer (might need to hire someone bigger, turbro?), voila! Nut can never come off over mushroomed snout.
Your pump can’t supply enough volume to keep up with rise in RPM. 9v is pretty low, can you rig up a jumper to supply a full 12+ v? Betting that helps a lot.
I’d be very interested in seeing how that front end cycles with the shocks removed. I rode in a super crew with 14” of travel (bumped and strapped) on 40s with a 3.0 bypass, 2.5 coilover and 2.5 bump. I was blown away what it was capable of.
