Oversized them a little so you can grind them down on one or two sides if you change your mind.
Take a page out of Dave Frieburger’s book and “don’t get it right, just get it running” - only do stuff you can’t do once the engine’s back in. Then keep putting it back together.
Guys with 1st Gen Tacoma’s on Tacomaworld have been using those guys for awhile since OEM has become discontinued or scarce for certain years. I’ve got a spare set of belts for my 4Runner I’ve been meaning to send in to get the spring rewound and new webbing but too busy lately.
Perfect weather - looks beautiful. I’ve been hiking the coast out in PV for years and there aren’t a lot of days that I imagine it will look like that out there based on the view from the mainland. Awesome.
Bought my wife a 4runner and my project truck’s engine and bumper ended up on that thing. 5 years later at least my truck’s got another engine in it (hasn’t ran yet) and hopefully a bumper this spring haha.
I don’t think @the bodj was coming from a bad place there. One thing I will say is that the rain is probably done for this year (now watch it absolutely pour next week) and you don’t have to worry about is water getting through any holes if the damage is that bad. Pics? I’d be interested to...
