Let’s say you have the option to buy any prerunner current or past, what one would you pick and why? I’m not talking about building a dream truck, I mean buying an already done one.
For me, it’s squishy. The amount of unknown/unnoticed things about that truck is mesmerizing to me. The custom built cab ( so unreal), the insane single 4.0 Robby Shocks, all the design and thought process that went into the truck. The fact that the entire rear half of the truck is a twin to the riviera truck. Axles, trailing arms, are all interchangeable with the riviera truck. It was so far ahead of its time, it was over built around 35s in the 90s with such nice big parts that when they upgraded to 39s it wasn’t even an issue. Looking at a truck that is pushing the 30 yr mark and is still around being used and hasn’t had to be re worked or repaired shows the quality of that machine. The wheel tire combo is the icing on the cake.
