Just wanted to post on here for the heck of it. Ive had my yellow blazer for about 8 years now. Started off with a stock 4” no name lift, 383 stroker, turbo 350, 10 bolt rear. I was honestly just happy to be out on the dunes lol.
Then I saved enough to buy a set of used deavers and smooth body kings for it off a sand drag truck. Eventually went turbo 400, 14 bolt full float ect just to keep the thing from breaking constantly. After three years on that setup I got bored and the truck was dialed but needed more travel.
Then October 2022 decided to link it, turbo LS swap it and TTB it. “Finished” the short course link setup, swapped a second LS in it after low oil pressure issues and beamed it just in time for July 2023. Got it though the season but the truck needed a lot more structure.
So June 2024 I decided to fully cage, back half, trailing arm the truck… more to come on that.

More pictures from last summer and early spring. More to come with the back half progress.

This thing is freaking cool! I was planning to build the same thing before I decided to build a Sonoma as I've always loved Blazers, but wanted 4 doors. One thing I'd suggest is to add more to your rear upper shock mounts. Coilovers mounted off the side of a tube like that tend to shear off, and it would suck to happen when a passenger is in the back

I hear ya. I never pushed it too hard with people in the back. Now it’s getting a full back half with proper shock reinforcement

A fellow Piss yellow rig, Welcome.
Rad rig!
Rigs like this are exactly why I love coming on here!
Please post whatever close up suspension pics you got so I can drool over them!
Hahahah just gotta embrace the yellow at this point. I’ll try to keep this updated but I post more frequent on IG @nolan_durecki

in the middle of tying in my cage to the chassis and running my final passes on everything. So I have more old stuff to share. Just getting a visual on how I want my rear bumps to be mounted due to my wonky axle placement in my chassis. My whole goal was to keep as much cargo room and 3rd seat space. Messing around to see if I’d like to run a spare out side of the cab (still super undecided). Also build the back half around 40s just because. It’ll be a while before I get to that point.
