TRR Class 2000 ranger

Well here’s the start of (Total Redneck Racings) second class 2000 truck. This truck was previously a short course truck 3-4 years ago. Last owner put 4.5” over beam kit on it and let it sit for awhile until we got ahold of it. Plan to start the 2024 season and projected to be ready in a month at the rate we are moving. Then off to do a couple shake downs starting November. It’s set up at the moment with the original 2.9L trans and rear end. I’m just the co-driver and fabricator on this project.

After two weeks of hauling the mail on the truck. We’ve redesigned the rear shock mounts, designed the front shock hoops, cut and rebuilt the bumpers, built the dash and center console and some other random parts im forgetting. Wired mostly everything so far, lights, pumper, radio/intercom, siren, etc.

Last weekend we got the brakes done, driver side shock mounted and revised. So after the California 300 this weekend I’ll have to chop the passenger side mounts off and redo them. I didn’t have enough angle on the arm mount so the shock was starting to bind in the mid shaft (double entendre lol). And the top mount was set with the wrong misalignments so for my own sanity I’m gonna redo them. But as of right now the truck is on all four wheels again and drives

Been awhile since I’ve posted on here. Some nice progress has been made on the truck. Engine is finally running top, custom light rack made cuz lights before lockers guys come on, switched to some atlas springs with some custom shackles we made in house, switched to a 20gallon fuel cell finally, spare tire carriers are buttoned up, had a problem with the original doors so we sourced some from the local lkq and fitted them and I’m sure I’m missing some stuff but we are shooting for the Parker400 in 2024.

Well we got the passenger side coil over mounts cut off and then redone properly. It’s been buggin me for awhile So we hammered it out, and started doing more of the interior work. The center console finally has a cover and all the wiring on the inside is properly loomed and tucked away. Just waiting on some packages and other goodies to show up!

Well haven’t been on here in awhile, we did a test run in ocotillo. The thing puts in work. There was some minor inconveniences while out but nothing trip ending. We tried to shoot for the Parker race but fell short. So we are cruising and prepping for the slash x race and possibly the mint 400!
