Tahoe/Suburban Prerunners

Whats up guys.

I want to get a thread started on Tahoe/Suburban prerunners.

I have been doing some research lately and want to get some more info. I know this is a pretty rare platform to build. Ive been following @Tahoe_prelander build thread closely. I want to get some other conversation going on part compatibility, options, fiberglass options etc for these trucks. I am heavily considering a 2000-2006 Body style.

SUV's are becoming a huge trend recently. I like the bronco/blazer platform but 2 doors doesnt get the job done. I do like the explorers as well but i think a bigger platform that comes with a v8 is more what im looking for.

Specifically starting with fiberglass- the first 3 pics posted have Baja Fiber rear panels. These seem to be the best fitting and aesthetically pleasing option for these. The JD fab tahoe i believe has modified silverado bedsides.

I contacted Baja fiber to see if they are still in business or selling these and havent gotten anything back yet.

Graft a bronco frame rail on the front of it for TTBs and a cantilever link set up and it would be a hell of a family hauler!!

I have been tossing around this exact idea as the next family hauler. Tahoe, 4L80 swap, some sort of full floater, cantilever, most likely beams...

I LOVE my Tahoe. I like the interior space, has a 5.3 without having to shoehorn it in, built tough. Glad to see more interest in SUVs

I think it’s an extra cab that he modded with a bed cap.

Not sure , Havnt looked at it in a while.

Nice Escalade D pillar covers and LED 3rd brake light. I used to sell those as fast as I would get them when I was in the Escalade and GM truck part out game when I live in Simi Valley
