We did the Mojave Road over Thanksgiving. It ended up being about 180 miles with some adventures off the trail.
The first night we stayed at Hole in the Wall Campground...that place is pretty.
The second night we stayed against the lava shelf by the lava tubes.....that was cool, but kinda freaky when nature called in the middle of the night...I half expected a Sand Person to pop up and start barking while I was doing my business.
On the last day, we checked out the Traveler's Monument and train bridge and then just booked it to get to Del Taco in Bartow.
It was a great trip without any mechanical issues. Cold overnight though.
